ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Federal Minister for Defence Production Rana Tanveer Hussain on Thursday expressed desire for greater participation by the Bosnian Defence Industry in the IDEAS 2018 being held at Karachi in November 2018.
In a meeting with the Ambassador of Bosnia & Herzegovina Sakib Foric at his office in Islamabad during which they discussed strategies of cooperation in the field of defence industry, the minister highlighted the importance of relations of both Pakistan and Bosnia & Herzegovina.
Rana Tanveer mentioned that a delegation led by the Federal Minister of Energy of Bosnia & Herzegovina Nermin Dzindic visited Pakistan in January 2018 which also visited Pakistan Ordnance Factories (POF) and National Radio and Telecommunication Corporation (NRTC) to explore the avenues of cooperation.
The minister also said that the vision of the government of Pakistan is to enhance relationship with Bosnia in the future. He said that the agreement between Pakistan and Bosnia provides legal framework and can play effective role to strengthen and diversify the Defence Industrial Cooperation.
The federal minister also highlighted the importance of Joint Board Meeting which is held alternatively in Bosnia and Pakistan.
