PoliticsPPP will never let system to be derailed: Khursheed Shah

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Opposition Leader in National Assembly and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) stalwart Syed Khursheed Shah on Monday said his party was a democratic party and it would never let the system to be derailed.

Talking to media representatives in Islamabad, Khursheed Shah said there should have been a rule of law in the Country.

The PPP leader also said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had dual standard on issue of resignation from the assemblies.

Khursheed Shah said PTI received salaries and privileges worth more than Rs 110 million from the Parliament. He added the Chairman PTI Imran Khan also received from Rs 7 to Rs 8 million as a member of the Lower House.

It is worth mention here that the Chairman PTI disclosed the option of tendering resignations from the Parliament when he addressed a public gathering held by the Joint Opposition at Mall Road in Lahore on January 17 to register its protest against the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N)-led Punjab government.

Imran Khan in his addressed also cursed upon the current Parliament, prompting a countrywide criticism while the National Assembly later also passed a numinous resolution condemning his as well as the Chief of Awami Muslim League (AML) Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed’s remarks against the Parliament.
