PoliticsKhursheed slams PML-N for failing to bring sit-in issue in Parliament

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Opposition Leader in National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah on Tuesday lambasted the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N)-led federal government, saying that the ruling party avoided to bring sit-in issue into the Parliament as it always did in the past.

Talking to media representatives in Islamabad, Khursheed Shah said that the sit-in had put negative impact of Pakistan all over the world.

Khursheed Shah said that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) was concerned about Pakistan’s positive image, sovereignty and its integrity.

The Opposition Leader said that PML-N always avoided the Parliament and now again it didn’t bring the sit-in issue to the Legislature.

Syed Khursheed Shah said that PPP always took power from the Parliament and always empowered the Parliament.

Meanwhile, according to media reports, the former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif also expressed dissatisfaction over PML-N government’s failure in Faizabad Operation.

Reports said that Nawaz Sharif had directed to determine those responsible for the failure of the operation.

On Monday the federal government succeeded to end the 21-day long sit-in at Faizabad following an army-medicated agreement with Tehreek Labbaik Ya Rasool Allah.

Though the sit-in ended, so did other protests across the Country; however, the role of Pakistan army in civilians affairs was once again questioned especially the Islamabad High Court (IHC) judge Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui strongly voiced his concerns over government’s inability to settle the issue and bringing the army into the matter.
