ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Chief of Awami Muslim League (AML) Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed has said that after having known that it cannot wage a full-fledged war against the nuclear capable Pakistan, India has now started using the United States to weaken Pakistan internally.
In his remarks, while initiating a debate in National Assembly on Wednesday on President Donald Trump’s statement regarding US policy in Afghanistan, Sheikh Rasheed said that India has decided to weaken Pakistan internally using the United States.
Sheikh Rasheed said that India is not so stupid to wage a full-fledged war against Pakistan but continues to commit ceasefire violations at the Line of Control (LoC) under an international conspiracy to disturb Pakistan.
“India knows very well that it cannot succeed a war against Pakistan rather will get a befitting respond,” he added.
The AML Chief underlined the need for exhibiting greater national unity to thwart nefarious designs against Pakistan, requesting the Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq to hold an in-camera meeting of the opposition parties in this regard.
Moreover, he said that Pakistan is a peace-loving country and it has nothing to do with terrorism. However, Sheikh Rasheed added that the Indian media is on the forefront and making efforts to malign Pakistan among comity of the nations.
Earlier, the House started the debate on the US President’s statement with the Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq was in the chair after the Minister for Law and Justice Zahid Hamid moved a motion under Rule 259 to discuss the issue thoroughly.
