ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government has initiated numerous development projects and welfare schemes in South Punjab, and will continue to undertake socio-economic uplift projects in the region in future as well.
In a meeting with a delegation of PML-N Members of National Assembly from Multan Division at PM House in Islamabad on Monday, the prime minister reiterated that the government will extend its all-out support for fast racking development projects in South Punjab.
The prime minister said that socio-economic development of South Punjab is priority of the government.
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi urged the MNAs to work with full dedication and commitment for bringing about tangible positive change. He also advised them to reach out to the people especially the poor segments of society and help addressing their issues.
The MNAs briefed the prime minister on development projects and public welfare schemes of their respective constituencies.
Minister for National Food Security Mr. Sikandar Hayat Bosan, Minister for Water Resources Syed Javed Ali Shah, Minister of State for Overseas Pakistanis Mr. Abdul Rehman Khan Kanju, MNA Malik Abdul Ghaffar Dogar, MNA Rana Muhammad Qasim Noon, MNA Muhammad Raza Hayat Harraj, MNA Muhammad Khan Daha, MNA Pir Muhammad Aslam Bodla, MNA Ch. Nazir Ahmad, MNA Mr. Sajid Mehdi, MNA Mr. Tahir Iqbal Ch., MNA Mr. Saeed Ahmed Khan Manias and MNA Mrs. Shaheen Shafiq were part of the delegation.
Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Sheikh Aftab Ahmed and senior government officials were also present during the meeting.
