In a meeting with the US Ambassador to Pakistan David Hale who called on him at PM Office in Islamabad on Thursday and discussed Pak-US bilateral relations, Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that Pakistan considers the United States as an important partner.

It was the first meeting between the new Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and a high ranked US official since the former assumed the Office of Prime Minister earlier this month.

Nawaz Sharif was disqualified by the Supreme Court under article 62 (1)(f) of 1973 Constitution in Panama verdict.
