Operation Radd-ul-FasaadFC foils major terror bid in Khyber agency, 2 suicide bombers killed

PESHAWAR, Pakistan: The Frontier Constabulary (FC) on Friday foiled a major terror bid and killed two suicide bombers in Landi Kotal area of Khyber agency.

Security sources said that two suicide bombers wanted to enter a FC Check Post in Jarobi area but one of them was shot dead at the gate as a result of retaliatory fire by security forces while the other blew himself up.

Sources further said that in the meantime, two FC personnel also suffered injuries; therefore, they were rushed to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Peshawar for medical treatment.

The terrorists seem to have once again devised a strategy to target security forces and in this regard, they have stepped up their nefarious activities.

Yesterday, terrorists targeted police officials in Killi Deba area of Quetta, resulting in martyrdom of four policemen including Superintendent of Police (SP) Quaidabad Mubarak Shah.

While last Monday, terrorists martyred two FC personnel and injured five others in Lakka Tegga area of Kurram agency through an improvised explosive device (IED).
