ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Minister for States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON) Lt General (retd) Abdul Qadir Baloch has said that conspiracy is being hatched against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, who is making efforts to materialize China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) for enhancing economic growth rate and development in the Country.

While talking to State-run Pakistan Television (PTV) in Islamabad, the minister said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was making conspiracy against the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) for halting CPEC and other development in the Country.

Lt General (retd) Abdul Qadir Baloch said that the Country had suffered losses of billions of rupees due to sit-ins and protest demonstration launched by the leader of PTI Imran Khan.

The SAFRON minister said that the US Senator John McCain had also acknowledged the Pakistan’s role in war against terrorism and restoration of peace in the area.

To a question about Joint Investigation Team (JIT) process, the minister said that “We have respect and honor for Supreme Court which was a national institution of the country.”
