ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Political Affairs Asif Kirmani has said that the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) has failed to carry out the investigation process as per its mandate.

While talking to media representatives outside the Federal Judicial Academy in Islamabad on Monday, Asif Kirmani said that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leadership will not allow any conspiracy succeed against the progress and development of the Country.

The PML-N leader said that the report of the JIT will remain incomplete as long as it does not record the statement of the Qatari prince. He said that Qatari prince has repeatedly invited JIT to record his statement but the probing team has not shown any intent towards that end.

Furthermore, he said that the family of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has submitted attested documents before the JIT.

Earlier, the younger son the prime minister, Hassan Nawaz, arrived at the judicial academy to record his statement before the JIT formed to probe into Panama Case.

Strict security arrangements had been put in place in and around the premises of the judicial academy.

The Finance Minister Ishaq Dar will also appear before the JIT in the afternoon.

The prime minister’s elder son Hussain Nawaz and his daughter Maryam Nawaz will also appear before the investigation tomorrow and Wednesday respectively.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif have already recorded their statements before the JIT.
