PESHAWAR, Pakistan: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra has said that the incumbent federal government is focusing on the improvement of education and health sector in Federally Administrated Tribal Areas (FATA).

While presiding over a high level meeting at Governor’s House in Peshawar on Wednesday, the governor said that these initiatives are aimed at bringing tribal youth at par with the developed areas of the country and could utilize their talent in the prosperity of the country.

The governor said that steps are being taken for the implementation of reforms in FATA to bring the tribal region into the mainstream so that the tribal areas could be developed.

Jhagra said that FATA reforms would change the fate of the tribal people and will provide job opportunities to the tribal people.

The KPK governor also appreciated the support of United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and International Community in the development of FATA.

Besides others, Director UNDP Haoliang Xu, UN Resident Coordinator Neil Buhne, Country Director Ignacio Artaza, Additional Chief Secretary FATA Fida Wazir, Principal Secretary to Governor Sikandar Qayyum also attended the meeting.
