ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: As many as 1201.5 MW electricity is being generated through various alternative energy sources including wind, solar and bagasse in the country.

Official sources told the state-run news agency in Islamabad that out of total 641 MW was being generated through wind, 400 MW from Solar and 160.5 MW from bagasse power projects.

They said the wind power projects included (50 MW) FFC Energy Pvt Limited, (56.4 MW) Zorlu Enerji Pvt Ltd, 50 MW each Three Gorges First Wind Farm Pvt Ltd, Foundation Wind Energy Ltd-II, Foundation Wind Energy Ltd-I, (52.8 MW) Sapphire Wind Power Company Ltd, 50 MW each

Younus Energy, Metro Power and Gul Wind Energy Ltd, 30 MW Tapal Wind Energy Pvt Ltd, 49.5 MW Tenaga Generasi Ltd, 52.8 MW Master Wind Energy Pvt Ltd and 49.5 MW Hydrochina Dawood Power.

Similarly, the solar projects included 100 MW each QA Solar Pvt Ltd, Appolo Solar Pakistani, Crest Energy Pakistan Ltd and Best Green Energy Pakistan Ltd.

The Bagasses projects are 26.35 MW each JDW Sugar Mills (Unit-II) and JDW Sugar Mills (Unit-III), 30 MW RYK Sugar Mills, 62.8 MW Chiniot Power Ltd and 15 MW Hamza Sugar Mills.
