Lahore, Pakistan: Suspect terrorist Noreen Leghari did not go to Syria to join Daesh and she misguided her family through a text message that she had reached “the land of Khalafat—Syria.

Initial investigation indicate that there is possibility that arrested terrorist Noreen Leghari and killed terrorist have no links with Daesh rather they were working for Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

Investigators are worried because Noreen was not the only girl from Sindh who was missing as there are 13 other well educated girls those are missing from Sindh and could already join terrorist organisation.

Intelligence agencies believe that there is possibility that TTP is using brand name of Daesh for online recruitment with the active support of Indian intelligence agency RAW for hiding this new dimension of terrorism in Pakistan.

It is confirmed through investigation that Noreen directly reached Lahore from Jamshoro via bus on the invitation of one man namely Tariq who was killed in police encounter in Punjab Housing Society Lahore on Thursday.

It may be mentioned that leading television channels without confirming facts released a story on Thursday that killed terrorist was Uzbek. Investigation confirmed that killed terrorist was Muhammad Tariq who lived in Manawan area. Manawan is same locality where banned outfit Lashkar-e-Jhangvi commonly known as Punjabi Taliban attacked Police Academy on March 30, 2009. Investigation of case led several arrests from Sakhur city of Sindh province. TTP faction Jamaat-ul-Ahrar is now new brand name of former Lashkar-e-Jhangvi.

According to initial investigation conducted by law enforcing agencies, Noreen Leghari came to Lahore via bus from Hyderabad around two and half months ago and lived with a young man namely Tariq in Ali Housing society of Lahore. Couple was shifted to Punjab Housing Society two months back.

Investigation revealed that she sent a text message to his brother that she had gone to Syria to join Daesh but she was living in Lahore actually.

It may be mentioned that she went to Liaquat Medical University, Jamshoro from her home in Hyderabad on February 10, 2017 and disappeared from medical college after attending morning class. She is in second year student of MBBS course. Her father Abdul Jabbar is Professor in Jamshoro University and he lodged a complaint in police that his daughter was missing.
