RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: Two Pakistan army Soldiers embraced Shahadat in an exchange of fire with terrorists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Swabi district, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a press release on Tuesday.

The ISPR said that the Security Forces conducting an Intelligence Based Operation (IBO) in Malikabad area of Swabi.

It said that during the IBO, an exchange of fire erupted with the terrorists which resulted in martyrdom of Captain Junaid and Sepoy Amjad.

The ISPR further said that five terrorists were killed by the security forces during the operation in Swabi.

In a statement, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa said that “Sacrifice of our Shaheeds will not go waste.”

“Terrorist will be brought to their end and held accountable for their Fasaad”, the COAS said.

The Intelligence Based Operation was carried out as part of the ‘Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad’ launched across the Country on February 22, aimed at indiscriminately eliminating threat of terrorism.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif expressed his deepest condolences over the martyrdom of Captain Junaid and Sepoy Amjad who embraced Shahadat while fighting terrorists in Swabi district today.

In a message, the prime minister prayed to Allah almighty to bless the departed souls with eternal peace. He also extended his heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the martyrs’ families.

The prime minister deeply applauded the valiant fight by the armed forces personnel against terrorists who are attempting to challenge the writ of the state.

Nawaz Sharif paid rich tributes to the brave soldiers who boldly fought the terrorists and embraced Martyrdom in the line of duty. He said that those who embraced Shahadat are the real heroes and saviors of our nation.

“Our Armed Forces are fighting the menace of terrorism to protect our democratic values, constitution, freedom, and our way of life,” the prime minister said.

“We cannot and will not allow our enemies to promote their nefarious designs. Operation Radd-ul Fasaad will continue until our homeland is cleared from the scourge of terrorism”, he reiterated.
