RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Punjab government is spending over Rs 500 million for uplift projects of the city including development projects of education, health and road infrastructure said former MNA and Chairman Metro Bus Authority Hanif Abbasi.

Talking to media persons on Saturday at Rawalpindi Press Club, he said, more development projects would be launched to facilitate the citizens.

He said, Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology (RIC) was completed which is capable of carrying out all kinds of surgeries and catering to the needs of the poor.

He said that Urology state-of-the-art hospital would be completed soon. Metro bus, a gift of Punjab government is facilitating the residents of the twin-cities, he added.

Hanif Abbasi said, sports are essential for physical and mental health of the youth and no one can deny its importance. Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz government is spending billions of rupees to construct international standard cricket, football and hockey grounds. Chief

Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif is taking keen interest for promotion of sports in the province, he added.

He said that a state of the art park and modern sports Complex at Rawal Road would be completed till June.

Lauding the policies of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to restore peace in the country he said, Pakistan Cricket Board and law enforcement agencies have made foolproof security arrangements for holding Pakistan Super League (PSL) final in Lahore which would help bring back international cricket in the country.

He said, conspiracies are being hatched against peace and stability of the country and enemies of the country wanted to derail China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project which is a game changer and would bring true prosperity in the country.

The government is making all-out efforts to foil nefarious designs of the enemies.

He said PTI’s government could not deliver in KP and no mega project launched for the betterment of the people.
