ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Federal Minister for Interior Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has said that it is very important for the media to black list the terrorist organizations and do not air any content glorifying militancy.  

Talking to media persons in Islamabad on Saturday, the minister media has the most crucial role to play in disseminating the credible information keeping in view the national interest.

The interior minister urged media to focus on promoting national cohesion and courage among the people.

Chaudhry Nisar said that since the adoption of National Action Plan (NAP) to this day, the federal government has focused on sharing and discussion with all stake holders including the media.

The minister further said that incidents of terrorism have significantly declined due to effective security measures taken by the government during last three years.

Referring to terrorist incident at Lal Shahbaz Qalandar Shrine in Sehwan Sharif, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said that maintenance of law and order in Sindh was the sole responsibility of the provincial government for which the federal government should not be maligned.
