CHARSADDA, Pakistan: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police on Tuesday shot dead two suicide bombers while another blew himself up outside a Katchehri in Pakhtunkhwa’s Charsadda district.

The District Police Officer (DPO) Charsadda Sohail Khalid told that three suicide bombers were trying to enter a Katchehri in Tangi area of Charsadda. But in the meantime, police killed two suicider bombers while one blew himself up.

The DPO said that six persons were killed and 14 others injured as a result of suicide blast at the main gate of Tangi Karchehri.

However, he added that all the Judges and Staff in the Katchehri were safe while a search operation had been initiated in the area.

Meanwhile eye witnesses told media that a suicide bomber initially opened fire and then he blew himself up.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Minister Shahram Khan Tarakai directed to enforce an emergency in Peshawar and Charsadda hospitals in the wake of Tangi Katchehri blast.

The provincial health minister also directed to provide best possible treatement to the injured.

Sources said that 12 injured were brought to the Civil Hospital Tangi.
