ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff Ashfaq Pervez Kayani called on President Asif Ali Zardari last night.
Sources said the meeting, which was already scheduled, was held in Islamabad during which matters related to security situation in the context of upcoming general elections were discussed.
On Thursday, Kayani presided over the 70th Formation Commanders’ Conference that also discussed security plans for the upcoming general elections.
The forum was given comprehensive briefings on external and internal security environment and professional matters.
