HeadlinesFarooq Sattar says Plot afoot to rob MQM of its mandate

KARACHI: Deputy Convener of Muttahida Quami Movement’s Rabta Committee Dr. Farooq Sattar said the party workers are being murdered in an attempt to rob the party its mandate, as according to the plot, Muttahida is being restricted to some areas.

Addressing a press conference here along with other members of Rabta Committee at Nine Zero, Dr. Farooq Sattar noted the murder of Fakhrul Islam in Hyderabad and of Shiraz Asghar in kaachi is a plot to limit electoral and political activities and rob the party some of its seats.

He said the Muttahida’s sector and unit offices are being raided on the pretext of crackdown against the criminals; it seems that an operation like the one in past, has once again been commenced.

The Rabta Committee member Mustafa Kamal said it is like living in fool’s paradise if someone thinks the MQM could be marginalized so that the elections could be stolen away.

The party leaders demanded the assassins of the Muttahida’s deceased leaders be arrested and the string of raids at sector and unit offices be stopped forthwith.
