ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb has said that the Parliament is making necessary legislation needed to overcome the issues related to climate change.

In her address at a ceremony titled ‘Pakistan’s National Water Policy Network’ in Islamabad on Friday, the minister said that the Parliament has the most significant role to play in achievement of Sustainable Development Goals.

The state minister said that through education and awareness all problems can be sort out in a better way.

Marriyum Aurangzeb said that the Parliament of Pakistan is the first Parliament to be converted on solar energy and provides state of the art facilities regarding policing and framework on climate and water scarcity issues.

The minister of state for information further said that the population census is being held in March-April this year across the Country which is a right step forward as lot many problems emerge out of the fast growing population.
