NationalCNG stations to remain closed in Punjab

LAHORE, Pakistan: In order to ensure Sui gas for domestic users in the chilly weather, the supply to Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) filling stations of the Punjab will remain suspended till further orders, according to a spokesman of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL).

Talking to the media, the SNGPL spokesman said that CNG filling stations were to re-open on Saturday evening (January 14). However, now to ensure Sui gas supply to domestic users, CNG stations in Punjab province will remain closed for an indefinite period.

Earlier, the General Manager Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) Lahore Region Qaiser Masood claimed in a press conference last Friday that sufficient gas was being given to the Provincial Capital and low pressure complaints had declined this year.

Qaiser Masood also claimed to have disconnected more than 250 consumers over compressor use through a special operation.
