ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Arif Nizami has said free‚ fair and transparent elections will be conducted in the country on time.

He said the elections cannot be delayed at any cost.

The Minister said the state media is giving coverage to all the political parties and stakeholders.

To a question‚ he said the upcoming Parliament can review the Articles 62 and 63.

Replying to another question‚ he said Supreme Court would decide about the cases of former military ruler Pervez Musharraf. He said the interim government would take action on the orders of the apex courts.

Arif Nizami said that media and judiciary are independently working in the country.

The Information Minister hoped that media would follow the code of conduct in the next general elections.
