KARACHI: At least ten more people including three policemen were killed in the sustained violence in the metropolis.

Some unidentified miscreants gunned down two policemen at Shershah Chowk. The two police personnel —Khalid Mehmood and Zahid Ahmed were on duty on SITE B Area Police Station.

The two police were deployed at snap checking in the area. Bodies of the deceased were transported to Civil Hospital.

DIG West Zafar Abbas Bukhari also confessed to having deployed the personnel on the mistaken place.

A local office-bearer of a political party was shot to death in New Karachi area of Yousuf Goth. Korangi also witnessed the violence when Saeed Khan lost his life and Hasan and Rashid sustained injuries.

Two people were killed in firing incidents one each in Steel Town and Manghopir. Two others were gunned down one each in North Nazimabad and Baldia Town.

Meantime, the Crime Investigation Department (CID) of Sindh Police arrested Bashir Khan Mehsud—a local amir of an outlawed organization and seized Kalashnikovs and two hand grenades from his possession.

Also, a CID’s policeman Noor Hasan passed away while he was being treated after he sustained injuries in a firing incident in Gulbahar on Tuesday.
