MULTAN: Jamshed Dasti was released from the Central Jail Multan Thursday. He had been jailed for 3 years in a fake degree case but later Election Tribunal ordered his release.
A large number of his supporters gathered outside the jail to give him a rousing welcome.
Talking to media he hailed the decision of the court and said it was based on justice and said his degree was valid.
He said he would contest elections from NA-177 and NA-178. He said he would contest elections against the land lords and would continue his struggle for the betterment of the poor. He said some forces wanted to block his way in the elections‚ but he had full faith in the independent judiciary.
