ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: As the Christian Community was set to observe Christmas on Sunday, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif today directed the Ministry of Water & Power to ensure no loadshedding on Christmas.

In a statement issued on Saturday in Islamabad, the PM House said that the prime minister directed the ministry to ensure that there was zero load shedding across the country from tonight till tomorrow in view of the Christmas celebrations.

Meanwhile, Christians around the world including in Pakistan would Celebrate Christmas Day, a holiday commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ, tomorrow.

The Christian Community in Pakistan have almost completed its preparations for the celebration of Christmas. In various Cities, majority shopping centers are full with variety of Christmas gifts, decorative items, Christmas trees and to ornate homes, churches etc.

The Children along with their parents are thronging markets to get their favourite items for celebrating the big day with religious zeal for having fun with their kins and friends on this special eve.

Christians have decorated the Christmas tree to welcome the arrival of Santa Claus, also known as `Father Christmas’ which is considered an important ritual of the Christmas celebrations.

Special services were being organized in the Churches in which sermons would be conducted to pray for sustainable peace and prosperity of the country. Likewise, a number of events were being organized in various Cities where the Christians would gather to share their happiness with the community members.
