ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: President Mamnoon Hussain has stressed the need for provision of different skills to youth to prepare them to play role for better future of the country.

While addressing an award distribution ceremony of the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) in Islamabad on Monday, the president said that a constructive forces for bright future of the country can be prepared by giving training youth in different skills.

The president said that the federal government has launched Prime Minister’s Youth Skill Development Programme which is going on successfully. He said that 35,000 youth has completed their skills training in the third phase of the programme.

President Mamnoon said that the youth selected from four provinces, Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK), Gilgit Baltistan and Islamabad have been given training free of cost and will be provided with tool kits.

Moreover, he said that that National Vocational and Technical Training Commission has set up placement centres in Lahore and Karachi to facilitate the selection of skilled workers.

The president pointed out that the Commission is determined to set up these centres at district headquarters level in the country.
