ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Advisor to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz Saturday strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Kayseri, Turkey.

In a statement, Sartaj Aziz said Pakistan condemned in the strongest possible terms the terrorist attack that took place in Kayseri, reportedly resulting in the loss of precious lives of 13 personnel of the Turkish Armed Forces and injuring 48 others, according to a Foreign Office press release.

“On behalf of the prime minister, the government and the people of Pakistan, I extend our heartfelt condolences to the government and the brotherly people of Turkey, as well as to the families of all those who lost their loved ones in this cowardly attack. We also pray for the speedy recovery of those injured.”

The advisor also expressed the deep pain and anguish over the heinous act of terrorism which came within a few days of the terrorist attack in Besiktas district of Istanbul.

Pakistan also reiterated its unwavering solidarity with Turkey and reaffirmed strong belief that the brotherly people of Turkey would be successful in their resolute fight against the scourge of terrorism.

“We condemn terrorism in all its forms and manifestations,” he said.

There was no doubt that the collective will and determination of the people of Turkey would defeat any evil design against the country’s peace, stability, prosperity and internal harmony, he added.
