NationalNAVTTC to organize skills competition & job fair on Sunday

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) is going to organize the first-ever National Skills Competitions 2016 & Job Fair on December 18 (Sunday) at Pakistan National Council of Arts (PNCA).

The aim of these competitions was to promote healthy competitive environment and to attract youth towards vocational training.

Job Fair aims to provide a platform for the skilled youth to meet the industrialists and employers so that they may secure jobs as per their skills.

Previously, NAVTTC held skills competitions at zonal and provincial levels across the country in which thousands of trainees participated and exhibited their skills in diversified trades.

The winners of each trade were awarded with cash prizes and certificates.

Provincial competitions’ winners would now participate in the National Skills competitions and showcase their skills in 10 different trades including electrician, plumbing, beautician, graphic designing, dress making/fashion designing, diploma in Information Technology, auto cad, quantity survey, cooking and welding.

A sum of Rs 100,000, Rs 75,000, Rs 50,000 would be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd position holders of each trade respectively.

Many local and multi-national companies would install their stalls at one-day event. Entry would be free for the visitors.

The event would start from 9 am till 6 pm. Food Street and quiz competitions would also be organized for the visitors.
