BusinessCareem enables Captains; collaborates with UBL for more benefits

LAHORE, Pakistan: Careem, the region’s leading ride-hailing app, will help create more benefits for their captains, thanks to a new collaboration with UBL which helps them avail special insurance policies at 2.5% only.

Under this new partnership, Careem Captains can receive basic covers such as motor vehicle insurance, C-track tracker and third party cover as well as additional covers such as mobile phone theft, hospitalization in case of an accident, permanent disability in case of accident and accidental death.

“At Careem, Captains are our utmost priority and this is why a partnership with UBL is so significant – it helps ensure us both that their needs are taken care of,” said Junaid Iqbal MD Pakistan, Careem.

“Our mission is to simplify the lives of people by providing multiple transportation solutions but this can only happen when we simplify the lives of our Captains as they are the ones who help us succeed in this mission every day.”

Careem believes in constantly improving the partner experience once someone becomes a part of the family. Therefore, this decision means transparent, stable and safe insurance policy that is tailored to the needs of Careem Captains.

It consists of easy payment plans, clear terms and conditions and a rate lower than the market standard. The vehicle must complete a minimum of 200 hours on Careem Network per month for the continuation of the policy.
