NationalNAVTTC replaces conventional examination system

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: National Vocational & Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) has replaced the old and outdated system of examination with modern method of assessment which is I practice in the developed countries.

Under this new system, 90 percent of exam is based on practical test and the rest on interview.

Out of three assessors, two are industrial experts who would assess the actual skills and knowledge of the trainees exhibited during the practical exercises.

Under the new assessment system, skills of the trainees would be fine-tuned and the quality of their training would be enhanced manifold.

Final assessment of the trainees was conducted from November 14-16 throughout the country.

At some of the institutes, the assessment was observed by the industrialists, representatives of the industry and media.

All admired the new system and termed it in accordance with the international requirements.

The employers and the end users were of the view that as a result of this system, NAVTTC’s certificate would be the key to employment for the trained youth both at the domestic and international market.

They asserted that this new examination system would not only enhance the knowledge and skills of the trainees, but also would help them in securing jobs easily.

They expressed hope that the provincial institutes would also follow the steps of NAVTTC and introduce this system in their institutes so that the quality of assessment could be enhanced at par with the international standards.
