RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Minister of Defence and Secretary National Security Council Turkmenistan Colonel General Berdiyev Yaylym Yagmyrovich called on the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif at the army’s general headquarters in Rawalpindi on Thursday.minister-of-defence-and-secretary-national-security-council-turkmenistan-colonel-general-berdiyev-yaylym-yagmyrovich-and-general-raheel-sharif

The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement that matters of professional interest and regional security situation were discussed during the meeting between the COAS and Turkmenistan’s defence minister.

Earlier on arrival at the army’s general headquarters, a smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan army presented guard of honour to the visiting dignitary who laid floral wreath at Yadgar-E-Shahuda.japans-special-representative-to-the-united-nations-secretary-general-for-afghanistan-ambassador-tadamichi-yamamoto-and-general-raheel-sharif

Separately, Japan’s Special Representative to the United Nations Secretary General for Afghanistan Ambassador Tadamichi Yamamoto also called on General Raheel Sharif in Rawalpindi.

The ISPR said that regional security situation with particular reference to peace and stability in Afghanistan were discussed during the meeting.
