Government of PakistanLiars, abusers can’t lead Pakistan: Nawaz Sharif

KAHUTA, Pakistan: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said on Friday that people of Pakistan were civilized and those calling names and indulging in mudslinging could not be their leaders.

In his address to a public gathering at Narh in Kahuta Tehsil on Friday afternoon, the prime minister said that people of Pakistan would frustrate designs of those trying to block the wheel of development.

The prime minister said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) always pursued the politics of development and safeguarding national interests and it would continue to pursue this path vigorously.

Nawaz Sharif said that credit goes to PML-N for building motorways, boosting defence, carrying out nuclear explosions and upholding the cause of Kashmiri people.

The prime minister said that his political opponents could not digest all-round development in the country and want to halt this process. He said that Pakistan was proceeding ahead on the path of development and prosperity but some elements wanted to push the country back.

Sharif said that his opponents fear that because of its performance people would against vote for PML-N in 2018 elections and that is why they were indulging in negative politics.

In addition, he said that Pakistan would continue to speak for Kashmiris the same way he did during his address to the UN General Assembly.
