Government of PakistanKPK people rejected PTI's call for Islamabad lockdown: Amir Muqam

SWABI, Pakistan: Advisor to Prime Minister Amir Muqam on Monday said the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa want development and prosperity and they have rejected PTI’s call for shutting down Islamabad and politics of agitation and sit-in.

Addressing a public gathering here after inaugurating 132 KV grid station and supply of Sui Gas project, he said except a handful of PTI’s workers, the people of KP have refused to participate in Imran Khan’s sit-in.

Muqam said the people have realized that Imran Khan’s politics rotates around a point that how to become a Prime Minister despite the fact that his party has miserably failed to deliver in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

He said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has initiated development projects across the country without any discrimination, adding that the Prime Minister have announced various mega projects for KP, despite PTI’s government in the province.

He said that PML-N have served the KP people more than PTI’s government and always worked for prosperity and development of the masses.

Muqam said that KP Chief Minister Pervez Khattak is provoking people for revolt while claiming himself representative of Pakhtun nation. He said the people of KP by refusing to attend Khan sit-in, have already announced their decision against PTI and so called representative of Pakhtun.

He said the CM should think thousand times before challenging PML-N in KP because it could cost them heavily if the PML-N would show its’ strength in the province.

The PML-N leadership had faced very tough times including miseries of jails, dictatorship and even shelling and torture by police but did not retreat to serve the country, adding that the PTI leadership including CM Khattak would not even bear the intensity of a shell of tear gas.

He said the KP CM should first answer that as to why a forward block had emerged in PTI, even the KP government was working very transparently in KP.

Muqam said Nawaz Sharif was elected Prime Minister of Pakistan and he always lived up to the expectations of masses whenever he was given mandate by the people of Pakistan.

He said that on contrary PTI chief Imran Khan was having fun in Nathiyagali when the joint session of Parliament was underway on Kashmir issue and violation of LoC by Indian forces.
