RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Minister of State of Defence Affairs Qatar Dr Khalid Bin Muhammad Al Attiyah held a meeting with the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif at the army’s general headquarters in Rawalpindi on Thursday, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.minister-of-state-of-defence-affairs-qatar-dr-khalid-bin-muhammad-al-attiyah-and-chief-of-army-staff-coas-general-raheel-sharif

In a statement issued in Rawalpindi, the ISPR said that the Qatar’s defence minister and the COAS discussed matters of mutual interest including defence and security cooperation during the meeting.

The visiting dignitary acknowledged Pakistan’s successes in fight against terrorism and efforts for regional peace and stability, the ISPR said.

Earlier on his arrival at the army’s general headquarters, a smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Army presented the guard of honour to the visiting dignitary.

The defence minister of Qatar laid floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada.
