Government of PakistanEnemy countries, Imran Khan cannot see prosperous Pakistan: Asif

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Minister for Defense Khawaja Muhammad Asif has said enemies of the country were trying to create hurdles in the process of progress and wanted to halt China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project.

Speaking in a TV programme, he said anti-state elements were promoting terrorism in Pakistan.

He said war against terrorism being fought by Pakistan was considered as the best example as there was no precedent in rest of the world.

The minister alleged that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan also could not see a prosperous Pakistan. He said after success in war against terrorism and CPEC project, Pakistan would be impregnable for enemy countries and Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif would be impregnable for Imran Khan.

Enemy countries were targeting Pakistan to destabilize it while Imran Khan was targeting Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, he said.

Referring to his Tweet, Khawaja Asif said that if Imran Khan would target his leader, the prime minister, then he would also respond to him and added that he (Khawaja Asif) had just raised a question there.
