ABU DHABI, UAE: Once again Pakistan is on driving seat in second Test match against West Indies at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi after having secured a lead of 342 runs with 9 wickets still left.

Pakistan had scored 114 runs for 1 in second innings when Stumps were drawn on Sunday evening.

Earlier in its first innings, West Indies was all out of 224 runs but Misbah-ul-Haq didn’t enforce the follow-on and decided to bat again.

Pakistan have not enforced the follow-on in last 14 years despite having a chance to do it on five occasions.

The in-form batsman Darren Bravo remained the highest scorer for West Indies in first innings with 43 runs followed by Jason Holder with 31. For Pakistan, Yasir Shah took 4 wickets, Rahat Ali took 3 whereas 2 wickets were grabbed by Sohail Khan.

In Pakistan’s second innings, Openers Sami Aslam and Azhar Ali gave a 93 runs stand before the former was caught behind off Shannon Gabriel’s ball. Sami Aslam scored 50 runs with 5 fours.

Azhar Ali with 52 runs and Asad Ali with 5 will resume Pakistan’s second innings in Monday morning.

In its first innings, Pakistan scored 452 runs.

This is the second Test of three-match series being played in Abu Dhabi from October 21-25. Earlier in the first day-night Test played with Pink ball at Dubai International Cricket Stadium from October 13-17, Pakistan beat West Indies by 56 runs.
