Government of PakistanPTI should wait for Supreme Court decision: Talal

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Member of National Assembly Talal Chaudhry has said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) should show confidence in institutions and wait for the Supreme Court’s decision on its petition against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

Talking to a private channel, he said PTI chief Imran Khan had no confidence in national institutions, including Supreme Court, Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

His call to block Islamabad on November 2 was aimed at influencing the Supreme Court and ECP, he added.

The MNA said the PTI had adopted politics of agitation just for keeping it alive politically, which was rejected by the people as evident from its defeat in all elections including Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and Gilgit Baltistan, cantonment and local bodies.

Replying to a question, he said the government would accept the Supreme Court verdict because the PML-N had confidence in the institutions.

Talal said the PTI had failed to bring any change in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

He said there was no mega corruption case surfaced against the PML-N government in three years.

Due to prudent policies of the government, terrorism incidents were visibly decreased and economy of the country has improved which was internationally recognized, he added.

He said opponents of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif feared of his popularity among the people.
