ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has been elected unopposed as the president of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in the intra-party elections held at the Convention Centre in Islamabad on Tuesday.

Likewise, Raja Zafarul Haq has been elected as PML-N’s Chairman while Sartaj Aziz, Sir Anjaam Khan, Sikandar Hayat, Changez Mari, Imdad Hussain Chandio and Yaqoub Nasir have been elected as the senior vice presidents of the party.

Pervaiz Rasheed has been elected unopposed as the Finance Secretary of PML-N whereas Mushahidullah has been elected as Information Secretary of the party and Ahsan Iqbal as party’s Deputy Secretary General.

Over 2,000 members of PML-N’s general council from all over the country elected the central office bearers for the next four year-term.
