ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Minister of State for Privatization Muhammad Zubair said on Monday that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) would not achieve anything in its Islamabad’s protest.
Imran Khan-led PTI would likely be holding a massive sit-in plus protest in the Federal Capital on November 2 against corruption and government’s reluctance to probe Panama scandal. Imran Khan would announce the final date of Islamabad lockdown today.
In a statement issued on Monday, Muhammad Zubair said that PTI was doing negative politics of agitation and unrest that was beyond understanding. He said that Imran Khan threatened to close the Federal Capital to disrupt the normal life of the citizen.
The state minister said that no political party had called to shut the Islamabad in history of the country except PTI.
Zubair said that the present government did not want any confrontation situation with PTI during its protest demonstration at Islamabad. He said that PTI workers and supporters had attacked the national institutions including Parliament and Pakistan Television buildings despite that the government had showed patience on it.
