NationalCOAS visits Punjab Rangers headquarters

LAHORE, Pakistan: The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Friday visited Pakistan Rangers (Punjab) Headquarters in Lahore, according to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).

During the visit, the COAS was given detailed briefing by the Director General Rangers Major General Umar Farooq Burki about operational preparedness of the force.

Talking to the officers and soldiers of Punjab Rangers, General Raheel Sharif appreciated the high state of morale, operational preparedness and vigil being maintained by troops along the Working Boundary and International Border.

The COAS also laid floral wreath at Shuhada Memorial to pay homage to Pakistan Rangers (Punjab) martyrs who rendered supreme sacrifices for the defence of motherland.

Earlier on arrival the Army Chief was received by Commander Lahore Corps Lieutenant General Sadiq Ali.
