LAHORE: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Arif Nizami has said observers from European Union countries will cover the general elections in Pakistan.

Talking to media in Lahore today after a meeting with EU ambassador Lars-Gunnar Wigemark he said we will provide security and all necessary facilities to the visiting observers covering the elections.

The EU ambassador hoped free and fair election will be held and said he is confident that all stakeholders will engage in the process in a peaceful and democratic way.

He said we will monitor the election process in Pakistan.
