RAWALPINDI/QAMBAR SHAHDATKOT: The process of merciless scrutiny of nomination papers filed from across the country has entered its final phase. The Dispatch News Desk (DND) reports.

Nomination papers of PPP leader Faryal Talpur and AML head Sheikh Rasheed have been accepted from Qambar Shahdadkot and Rawalpindi respectively. Rasheed withdrew his nomination papers from NA-56 in favour of PTI Chairman Imran Khan.

In Sargodha, Returning Office reserved its decision to an objection raised against the candidacy of PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif. A local lawyer argued that Nawaz Sharif was not Sadiq and Amin as he had lied about his deal with Saudi Arabia.

In addition, nomination papers of Ghinwa Bhutto to contest elections from NA-257, Karachi have also been cleared.
