ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, chaired by Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman, will meet in Karachi on (October 2) Sunday for sighting crescent of Muharram ul Haram 1438 AH.

According to a member of Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, zonal Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) would meet in Ministry of Religious Affairs near General Post Office (GPO) whereas,the members of various district committees would meet at their respective offices for sighting the crescent.

Chairman Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman would announce the decision of crescent sighting or otherwise subsequently on the basis of information received after evaluating the evidences.

Muharram crescent likely to be sighted on Sunday evening: Met Office

Meanwhile an official of Met Office said that that good chance is likely for the sighting new moon of Muharram, 1438 AH on the evening of October 02, i.e. on 29th of Zilhij, 1437 AH.

The official said that the new moon of Muharram, 1438 AH will be born on crossing conjunction point at 05-11 PST on October 01.

According to astronomical parameters, there is good chance for the sighting new moon of Muharram, 1438 AH on the evening of October 02 i.e. on 29th of Zilhij, 1437 AH.

Climate record determines, the weather is expected fair/partly cloudy in most parts of the country.

In case of any unusual changes over these areas, weather may be partly cloudy to cloudy over Provincial and federal capital areas.
