DUBAI, UAE: Following a massive victory against West Indies last night, Pakistan will meet again the World Champions in the second T20 International on Saturday night at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Like the first T20, the second match will also begin at 09:00 pm as Pakistan Standard Time (PST).
Last night, Pakistan clinched a convincing win by nine wickets against West Indies in Dubai.
While batting first, West Indies managed to put just 115 score on the board in 19.5 overs before they were all out. Left-arm orthodox spinner Imad Wasim blew away West Indies’ top order and took 5 wickets for 14 runs, becoming the first Pakistani to pick 5-wicket haul in 20-over format.
For West Indies, Dwayne Bravo and Jerome Taylor were the only batsmen who managed to enter into double figures and scored 55 and 21 runs respectively. Both these batsmen also established a 66 runs record partnership for ninth wicket.
Besides Imad Wasim, Sohail Tanvir bagged 2 wickets while Muhammad Nawaz and Hasan Ali took one wicket each.
In reply to West Indies’ 115 runs, Pakistan reached the target in 14.2 overs for the loss of one wicket. Sharjeel Khan scored 22 runs before he was bowled by Samuel Badree while Khalid Latif and Babar Azam scored unbeaten 34 and 55 runs respectively.
It was Sarfraz Ahmed’s second T20 game as Captain who kept his 100 percent winning record intact.
On the other hand, it was only second defeat of currently third ranked and World Champions West Indies in 2016.
