BEIJING, China: China is willing to push forward the development of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), the Chinese Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday.
In a press conference in Beijing on Wednesday, the Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Hua Chunying said that CPEC represents a consensus reached by the two governments and is important for connectivity and cooperation in trade and economy.
The spokesperson said that at present, China and Pakistan have good communication and coordination, and relevant projects are showing smooth progress.
The Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson expressed her hope that achievements in CPEC would benefit the peoples of both countries as soon as it is completed.
