ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: President Mamnoon Hussain has said that Pakistan has successfully addressed the challenge of terrorism and extremism and the international community can benefit from Pakistan’s experience in counter-terrorism.

In his address at a function held in Nathiagali on Thursday in honour of participants of 41st International Nathiagali Summer College, the president said that Pakistan has suffered the most due to extremism and terrorism. He said that now this menace was affecting other parts of the world which was a matter of great concern.

The president said that the international community can benefit from Pakistan’s experiences because Pakistan has achieved extraordinary success in its counter terrorism efforts.

President Mamnoon said that Pakistan launched operation Zarb-e-Azb to wipe out terrorism which has produced positive results.

Mamnoon Hussain said that Pakistan believes in peaceful co-existence and is desirous of having friendly relations with all countries, particularly its neighbours.

Talking about the Nathiagali Summer College, the president said that it was beneficial for Pakistani scientists as it provided an opportunity to benefit from the experiences of international scientists. He called for utilizing modern scientific knowledge for the welfare of humanity.

The Chairman Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) Muhammad Naeem and scientists from home and abroad were also present in the function.
