SWAT, Pakistan: A police mobile van hit an improvised explosive device (IED) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Swat district on Tuesday which resulted in injuries to four policemen and a child.
Police said that the incident took place in Behran area of Swat where a police van was targeted with remote controlled IED.
Police said that the mobile of Behran police was in routine patrolling when reached at Mankyal area was attacked by unknown miscreants with remote controlled device planted on roadside.
Resultantly, four policemen and a child sustained injuries while the van was partially damaged.
The injured policemen and child were shifted to Madain hospital for medical treatment. Meanwhile, police cordoned off the area and started search operation.
