MUZAFFARABAD, Pakistan: Some 733 candidates submitted their nomination papers and other required documents in Election Commission for upcoming general elections being held in July 21, 2016 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).

According to details, 733 candidates from different political parties submitted their nomination papers in central Election Commission office Muzaffarabad along with election fee to contest general elections in 29 constituencies of AJK and 12 constituencies of Kashmiri refugees settled in all four provinces of Pakistan for AJK legislative Assembly.

Some 2,235 million voters including 444,000 voters of Kashmiri refugees will exercise their right of franchise to elect their representatives in AJK legislative Assembly for the next five year term.

The central election commission office collected Rs. 7,330 million in shape of election fee from the candidates.
