ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The federal government along with the international donors taking various steps for the resettlement of Temporarily Displaced Persons (TDPs) as soon as possible.

Talking to media on Saturday, an official source said that Ministry of States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON) and Federally Administrated Tribal Areas (FATA) Secretariat is working for the early resettlement and providing the relief to the TDPs.

To a question he said that recently Australian government has announced a contribution of AUD $ 3 million to the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) to cover the costs of milling, fortification, transportation and distribution of 8,126 metric tons of wheat donated by the Government of Pakistan.

The wheat will be provided to 102,000 Temporarily Displaced Persons (TDPs) and returnees in the FATA.
