ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM) has disbursed Rs 51.177 million among 14,260 registered beneficiaries of Chitral’s flood and earthquake victims, according to the Managing Director PBM Barrister Abid Waheed Sheikh.

Briefing UNICEF country representative Angela Kearney, the MD PBM said that PBM has paid Rs3,600 to each deserving through 24 post offices in Chitral region.

Angela Kearney appreciated PBM efforts for timely and transparent disbursement of payment in the challenging area, where harsh weather, adverse infrastructure, poor road condition were greatly affecting the activity.

Abid Waheed said that the partnership of PBM & UNICEF has assured the effective intervention in Child Support Program and Direct Emergency Cash Transfer Program in future.

The deputy MD PBM Muhammad Aslam Chaudhry gave a presentation on the effective execution of this activity.

Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal and UNICEF has signed signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to disburse assistance to glacial lake outburst floods (GLOF); earthquake effectees in Chitral district.
