NationalFATA Development Authority established 102 training centers for women

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) Development Authority has established 102 Women Skill Training Centers across FATA.

Around 2100 female students had so far been enrolled for the six-month course in stitching, knitting and embroidery, said an official of Ministry Frontier Regions.

He said that out of these 102 Women Skill Development centers, 44 are functioning as Government Women Skills Centers under a program “Establishment of Government Women Skills Development Centers in FATA” and 17,222 females have been trained till date since 2008.

While 32 of Women Centers are function in mutual collaboration with Community Based Organization under the programme “Skilling FATA Through Joint Venture” and 3755 females had been trained till date since January 2013.

These Training Centers are functioning within tribal areas and some IDPs camps also had such centers.
